The forefront of GPRS mobile communications tests
RFI at Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) has taken delivery of hardware and software worth GBP 165,000 to upgrade its Anite SuperSAT+ test platform.
The appointment will allow RFI customers to self-declare eliminating the need for application to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) conventionally a slow process, instead RFI test reports will be underwritten by a US CAB.
Steve Dillingham RFI's Regulatory and Technical Support Group manager comments, "The benefits of the self-declaration route (known as Declaration of Conformity (DoC) route) is that products can now be approved more quickly, typically taking just over a week instead of eight".
The agreement also means that US manufacturers wanting to sell into the EC can now have their Technical Construction File (TCF) reviewed by US CABs, with EC labs effectively underwriting them.
