The forefront of GPRS mobile communications tests
RFI at Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) has taken delivery of hardware and software worth GBP 165,000 to upgrade its Anite SuperSAT+ test platform.
The field trials programme is customised to the client's needs and can include testing of WAP, data (GSM/GPRS), RF performance and accessories.
Working closely with the client, RFI is able to supply comprehensive test and bug reports to ensure full visibility and quality control.
Colin Forrester, head of RFI's mobile communications group commented "Network field trials have traditionally been carried out in-house as part of the GSM Certification Forum's recommendations.
We are able to offer manufacturers a much broader service drawing on our wide experience and knowledge-base of performance testing.
We decided to offer the service in response to the level of interest that was being shown by manufacturers where out-sourcing network field trials will help alleviate personnel peak loading problems as product launches approach".
