The forefront of GPRS mobile communications tests
RFI at Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) has taken delivery of hardware and software worth GBP 165,000 to upgrade its Anite SuperSAT+ test platform.
The EMV specifications to which the terminals are tested define a set of requirements that ensures interoperability between Visa, Mastercard and Europay payment cards and EMV compliant terminals for credit and debit payment applications on a global basis.
EMVCo recognition, which builds on RFI's recognition by Visa in March, is part of RFI's strategy to satisfy the growing demand for testing and consultancy services in the converging worlds of wireless communications and m-commerce.
Smart cards play a major role in these developments.
As well as the type-approval testing for Smart Card Terminals, RFI also has a UKAS accredited EMC test facility and is a DTI appointed Competent and Notified Body able to facilitate the CE marking of these terminals.
