Colin Forrester has been appointed operations manager of RFI's Mobile Communications Group, replacing Richard Jacklin whose role has changed.

Colin Forrester has been appointed operations manager of Radio Frequency Investigation's (RFI) Mobile Communications Group (MCG).

Colin who joined RFI three years ago, replaces Richard Jacklin whose role changed to that of operations director in January this year.

Commenting on his appointment Colin said, "The Mobile Communications Group accounts for a large proportion of the company's revenue where fast moving and converging technologies such as WAP and Bluetooth present many challenges.

It is RFI's mission to meet these challenges and be a leader in its field.

We are laying foundations for 3G testing and expect to make some key announcements in this area in the very near future.

We have formed strategic Bluetooth partnerships and have just launched our new Network field trials service which rigorously tests the performance of mobile phones on all network infrastructures simulating real-life applications.

I attribute RFI's continuing success to technical excellence, competitive pricing, flexibility and a commitment to helping manufacturers meet tight deadlines.".
