Radio Frequency Investigation has taken delivery of a BITE RF Conformance Tester from a Spanish partner giving it full Bluetooth Qualification test capability
Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has taken delivery of a BITE RF Conformance Tester from Spanish partner Centro de Tecnologia de las Comunicaciones (CETECOM) completing its portfolio of Bluetooth test systems and establishing RFI with full Bluetooth Qualification test capability.
RFI will now proceed with gaining its official BQTF status through the Special Interest Group.
As part of the partnership established in 2001, RFI will validate the test platform for submission to the Bluetooth Qualification Review Board (BQRB).
Steve Flooks, RFI's Bluetooth Development Manager commented, "After an undeniably slow start industry-wide, we are starting to see an exponential increase in the level of Bluetooth enquiries.
We have already completed a Bluetooth RF conformance test project using standard test equipment on behalf of chipset manufacturer CSR (Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd).
With the installation of the BITE RF Conformance Tester, RFI's customers will have access to the latest available test platforms.
Our policy has always been to provide a flexible, cost effective and technically advanced solution.
We see the BITE RF tester providing RFI with a commercial edge and this benefit can be passed down to our customers to reduce the costs of qualification".
Andres Moreno, Telecommunications Director of CETECOM, commented, "Using a partner for the validation of our BITE testers with the experience, professionalism and reputation of RFI is the best guarantee to ensure the highest levels of quality in our BITE to achieve the official validation effectively".
