RF Solutions has added a new product to its extensive range The 118 system is designed to provide simple, low cost remote control in numerous applications including: outdoor lighting, garage door operation and powered window opening

The system consists of a receiver/decoder unit and a transmitter key fob that has a range of up to 80 metres.

It is available in single channel (118C1R2) and three channel (118C3R2) formats.

The system operates from a 12V DC power supply that can be quickly and easily connected using screw terminals in the receiver/decoder unit.

The 118 features three relay outputs, each rated at 2A.

These can be user configured to be either latching or momentary via two pluggable links on the decoder circuit board.

Making the connections to the output relay contacts completes the installation.

The complete receiver/decoder unit is housed in a robust IP65 rated enclosure measuring just 110 x 85 x 35mm, enabling it to be positioned discreetly in outdoor environments.

Operating temperature range is 0 to +55C.

The transmitter key fob supplied with the remote control system has either one or two buttons, depending upon whether it is to be used with the single or three-channel version.

Both key fobs feature LED indication of transmission.

The problem of inadvertent operation of the system by another transmitter in the locality is virtually impossible, as each key fob from RF solutions has a unique transmit code that is one of 16 million possible combinations.

A radio licence is not required for the 118C1R2 and 118C3R2 remote control systems.
