The new T7 / R7 transmitter and receiver modules from RF Solutions provide a high interference immunity solution for telemetry and remote control applications

The new T7 / R7 transmitter and receiver modules from RF Solutions provide a high interference immunity solution for telemetry and remote control applications Operating frequencies available are between 433.075MHz and 434.725MHz in steps of 50KHz

The modules are able to achieve data rates of up to 20Kbits/s when used in a simple telemetry link.

The transmitter design utilizes phase locked loop technology with a crystal oscillator.

This gives an accurately controlled RF output, permitting the use of narrow filtering on the receiver side.

The receiver itself is based on the single conversion superhet principle, again using phase locked loop technology.

The overall result is a narrow band, licence exempt product with a range of approximately 600 metres.

Fully shielded miniature SIL packages house both the transmitter and receiver modules.

The dimensions of the packages are just 31 x 10 x 3.5mm and 49 x 17 x 4mm respectively.

A wide operating temperature range of -25degC to +55degC for the transmitter, and -10degC to +55degC for the receiver, helps the T7/R7 to achieve a high degree of stability in a diverse range of designs.

An option for a -40degC to +80degC rated receiver is also available.

The transmitter is able to operate from a supply voltage ranging from 2.2 to 10Vdc.

Coupled with a small current consumption of 6mA, this gives a very low overall power consumption figure, making the module ideal for use in battery powered wireless applications.

The T7 / R7 narrowband module range is EN 300-220 compliant.
