RF Solutions has introduced an 868MHz version of its RTFQ1 and RRFQ1 transmitter and receiver pair.

The modules provide a cost-effective high-performance FM radio datalink in applications such as wireless security systems, car alarms, remote sensing and data capture.

Suitable for both one-to-one and multinode applications, RTFQ1 and RRFQ1 modules are already available in 433.92 and 315MHz versions.

Key features include a datarate of up to 9.67Kbit/s and a range of approximately 75m indoors and 250m across open ground.

Portable and battery powered applications are particularly well served due to the small physical size and low power requirements of the modules.

The DIL packaged transmitter measures 20.3 x 11.4mm and operates from a 3V supply.

The receiver is housed in a 38.3 x 18.3mm SIL package and requires a 5V supply in operating mode.

RTFQ1 and RRFQ1 modules feature a laser trimmed thick-film ceramic hybrid construction that results in extremely stable performance across an industrial operating temperature range of -20 to +85degC.

Implementation is further simplified by the absence of any adjustable components.
