The 232C-868FR1 operates at the European licence-free frequency of 868MHz and is user configurable using the standard AT command set.

Programming is via a built-in RS232 interface.

With a range of up to 600m, and a tough ABS housing, the network configurable 232C-868FR1 is suitable for use in a wide range of applications in the most difficult environments.

The unit requires a 9 to 12V DC power supply and has a baud rate that is selectable between 1200 and 38,400bit/s.

Using a control device with communications software, the modem can be set to either transparent mode, transparent secured mode, addressed secured mode or I/O copy mode depending on the requirements of the specific application.

A further feature of the versatile ETSI300-220 (CE) compliant 232C-868FR1 is four user configurable digital I/O channels that can be used to transfer TTL logic signals from one modem to another.

Six status LEDs are provided to indicate transmit/receive, clear-to-send/ready-to-send and power on.

The 232C-868FR1 is able to operate across a temperature range of -40 to +85C.

The ABS housing, which features wall mounting lugs, has overall dimensions of 110 x 85 x 35mm.
