Rhopoint Components, the Pan-European precision electronics specialist has introduced the new Ultra Miniature 9800 series of surface mount relays.

Manufactured by Coto Technology, the new relays utilize a higher temperature solder and solder paste for internal connections than found on previous 9800 relays.

The solder alloy, Sn95/Sb5, allows for a maximum board reflow temperature of 226degC for one minute, measured at the component leads.

This compares to 221degC for the Sn100 solder previously used.

This latest development addresses the need for keeping internal reflow temperatures as high as possible to better ensure the connection integrity of the relay.

Supporting the relays is Rhopoint's multi-national team of field and technical support staff, backed by an advanced stocking and distribution system.

Rhopoint Components offers full engineering support for all products and will provide additional design information if requested.

Rhopoint is approved to ISO9002.
