Safer air compressors for garage forecourts

A Rietschle Thomas product story

ASF Thomas Wob-L 1007 Series compressors are used in the air systems found at garages, providing pressures of up to 115 psi for car tyres and 150 psi for lorries and heavy vehicles

Air compressors are a common sight at garages, but for operation in the vicinity of petrol pumps, compressors must provide the highest levels of safety.

As the world's largest manufacturer of oil-free compressors, ASF Thomas has supplied over 4,000 air compressor systems in the UK alone.

ASF Thomas Wob-L 1007 Series compressors are used in the air systems found at garages.

These compressors provide pressures of up to 115 psi for car tyres and 150 psi for lorries and heavy vehicles.

The compressors provide these high pressures in total safety and without the build up of heat that could ignite petrol.

As the compressors are subjected to repeat use, they also have to be robust for long service.

ASF Thomas Wob-L 1007 Series compressors are used in the air systems.

The compressors use a patented Wob-L design, which benefits from a high performance PFTE compound piston seal for long service.

The compressor is designed for maximum heat transfer, so that dangerous high temperatures are avoided.

This is assured by thin walls of hard-coated aluminium.

Heat problems are also avoided in the motor, with an air-over-motor design that ensures the bearings and cylinder head are cooled.

The air compressor offers low noise level and reduced levels of vibration through its balanced design.

As with all ASF Thomas products, a customisation and product design service is available to enable customers to obtain exactly the right pump for their needs.
