Agreement brings gearbox range to the UK

The Yilmaz Reduktor gearbox range encompasses worm, helical and bevel helical gearboxes, with capacities up to 40,000Nm, all of which carry a two-year warranty.

The Pumps and Ancillaries Division of the Richard Alan Group has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for the Yilmaz Reduktor range of gearboxes and geared motors across the UK and Ireland.

Yilmaz Reduktor is a well-established brand in Europe, with operations in Germany, France, the Netherlands and Denmark; and in the Middle East, the USA and Africa.

The company has been manufacturing gearboxes since 1963 and employs the most modern automated technology at its 30,000m2 production facility at Beylikduzu-Istanbul, the largest in Turkey.

Today, the company's range encompasses worm, helical and bevel helical gearboxes, with capacities up to 40,000Nm, all of which carry a two-year warranty.

The wealth of engineering facilities available within the Richard Alan Group means that Pumps and Ancillaries, unlike any other Yilmaz distributor in Europe, is being allowed to stock gearboxes in component form.

This provides great flexibility for the user, as it enables gearboxes to be assembled to exact customer specifications at very short notice.

Yilmaz gearboxes are designed as monoblock units, based upon a one-piece housing, which offers advantages as regards, rigidity, gear strength, operating noise levels and oil integrity.

All bearings within the gearboxes are supported by the housing itself and not by cover plates, and all axes are machined at the same mounting plate, which gives high precision on all axis with very tight tolerances.

The monoblock design delivers improved bearing and gear life and the facility for multistage units and overhung loads.

The Pumps and Ancillaries division of Richard Alan will hold a wide range of stock.

It will also supply IEC frame bespoke motors for the gearboxes, together with accessories such as variable speed drives and brakes.
