New company specialises in precision machining

A Richard Alan Group product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 31, 2008

Continual investment in the latest milling, drilling and turning machinery enables Ramco to engineer complex and critical components and to fulfil large contracts with speed and accuracy.

Ramco-CNC supplies a range of precision machined parts for process plant equipment.

The new company has been formed as a result of the natural growth in the existing precision components business within Richard Alan.

Richard Alan Engineering manufactures built-to-order process skids and pressure vessels for the oil, gas, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The company has operated a comprehensive range of four axis CNC milling, drilling and turning machines, as well as manual machines since 2002.

The recent addition of two new CNC lathes, a CMM station and a five axis machining centre that is on order will quickly expand capacity.

"By forming a separate company dedicated to precision machined components we can offer a better, more personal service to existing customers, as well as targeting resources into new markets", explains Kevin Perree, General Manager at Ramco.

"Our customers come to us for our expertise, problem solving attitude and attention to detail".

"By combining established engineering with the very best CNC equipment, Ramco will continue to deliver the high-quality service our customers have come to expect".

Continual investment in the latest milling, drilling and turning machinery enables Ramco to engineer complex and critical components and to fulfil large contracts with speed and accuracy.

Having taken delivery of a new Puma 400 CNC lathe and a CNC CMM co-ordinate measuring machine, Ramco has recently completed a contract from Mabey Support Systems worth GBP500,000 to machine precision hydraulic parts for the Guri Dam, the second largest hydroelectric facility in the world.
