Because the Yilmaz D series gearboxes are mounted directly onto driven shafts, there is no need for a coupling, chain drive or reducer.

Yilmaz D series gearboxes from the Richard Alan Group combine hollow shafts' compactness, efficiency and low cost with the high strength and flexibility of helical gears Because the D series gearboxes are mounted directly onto driven shafts, there is no need for a coupling, chain drive or reducer

The gearbox assembly is very compact, saving both space and weight.

The efficiency of the power train is also improved, helping to optimise the input from high-efficiency motors.

The D series gearboxes are manufactured with high-quality cast iron bodies, which house high-strength, precision-hardened helical gears and heavy-duty bearings, enabling the gearboxes to deliver the highest power density, reliability and extended life in demanding quarrying, mining, mixing and materials handling applications.

The D series bodies are designed as monoblock units, with a one-piece housing which offers improved rigidity, gear strength, operating noise levels and oil integrity.

All bearings within the gearboxes are supported by the housing itself and not by cover plates.

All axes are machined at the same mounting plate, which gives high precision on all axes with very tight tolerances.

Available in seven different sizes with a wide range of ratios, the D series gearboxes are rated for operation in applications requiring from 130 to 4800Nm of torque.
