Eplan, Rittal's software solution for electrical schematics has been enhanced to enable users to produce control circuit designs with greater efficiency and accuracy.

Features include the automatic generation of projects from standard circuits via a spreadsheet (data engineering); greater flexibility for the automatic numbering of devices to company specific standards; easier transfer of Eplan projects between user, customers and suppliers with a new ability to generate and send projects automatically as an email from within the project.

Eplan View offers an efficient method for customers to quickly check drawings received by e-mail for approval.

Two new product CD's are also available from Eplan to assist in the speedy selection of components in the electrical design.

Siemens have produced a Technical Product Data CD of their Low Voltage Control products, structured in a browser style to allow designers to select the relevant part numbers required and transfer them into a file in the correct format for importing into the Eplan Parts Management database.

Rittal's new PLC Centre CD provides electrical designer with symbols for the I/O products from manufacturers such as Allen Bradley, Siemens and Hitachi.

Interbus and I/O devices from Pilz and Phoenix Contact are also available for the Eplan user to download from the Eplan area in the Products section of this web site Rittal are offering on site-demonstrations or a free presentation CD for Eplan Compact, the low cost entry level system.
