A Rittal product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 4, 2003

RiDiag II is a diagnosis tool that allows users to receive feedback on the operating performance of comfort-controlled TopTherm cooling units.

Rittal's next generation of enclosure cooling units offers users total flexibility for all types of enclosure and provides a new dimension in fault finding and proactive maintenance through a new RiDiag II software package.

RiDiag II is a diagnosis tool that allows users to receive feedback on the operating performance of comfort-controlled TopTherm cooling units.

By connecting a PC, it is possible to retrieve error messages, temperature trends and unit usage levels.

The software also allows critical parameters to be graphically displayed, plotted over a set time period, and saved for future analysis.

As well as its diagnostic qualities, the software allows the user easy access to the key parameters set as default in the control system, these include: filter alarm settings, temperature settings, measurement settings and PLC/master-slave settings.

An added feature of the RiDiag II, is the facility to route specific alarm signals depending on their priority and importance.

This facility is simple to use and utilises drop down boxes that tailor the two alarm signal contacts at the rear of the cooling units.

The new TopTherm design also incorporates features such as master-slave communication, door switch control, and PLC connection; ranges between 300 and 4000W and comes as either a roof or wall mounted version.

Accessories for TopTherm such as quick-change frames, door switches, ducting, and the Ridiag II diagnostic software, are stocked extensively and are available off the shelf.
