Online planning tools for support arm systems

A Rittal product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 8, 2009

Rittal is expanding its range of configurators for the Comfort Panel and Optipanel command panels by introducing another engineering tool: the Configurator for support arm systems.

Now, the CP-C support arm system and the CP-S, CP-L and CP-XL support arm systems can be configured quickly and securely via the internet.

The system configurator guides the user automatically through the individual request screen menus.

Depending on the system configuration of the jib length, enclosure weight, cable cross-section and design, the online tool proposes an ideally coordinated support arm system for the specified requirements.

The integrated, intelligent plausibility test permits a completely error-free system assembly, so that the appropriate system is proposed as a choice at the end of the configuration process.

In a very short time the user is given a system solution that suits its human-machine interface application best.

The data defined during the configuration process also makes it possible to create an exact parts list, making it easier for the user to streamline orders and plan entire plants with pinpoint accuracy.

In a next step, the 3D CAD models of the articles contained in the parts list can be downloaded.

The Rittal configurator for support arm systems is available on the Rittal web portal and can be used free of charge.
