RJS introduces the Inspector 4000 Series bar code verification system with a patented Auto-Optic scan head allowing selection of aperture sizes and visible red or infrared light per ANSI specification

RJS Systems International introduces the Inspector 4000 Series bar code verification system.

This unique verification system combines accuracy and versatility in an easy-to-use, portable unit.

The user simply chooses the appropriate aperture size for the bar code, selects the light source and scans - the Inspector 4000 does the rest.

Specifically engineered to meet the ANSI Print Quality Specifications, the Inspector 4000 includes a patented Auto-Optic scan head that allows selection of aperture sizes and visible red or infrared light per ANSI specifications.

A 32 character LCD, audible tones and five colored LED's make it easy for the operator to know if a bar code is out of specification.

Traditional and ANSI scan reflectance profile analysis printouts are accessible without the need of special settings.

The data can also be sent to an optional printer or to RS-232 compatible equipment.

The Inspector 4000 automatically performs ANSI's "Guideline for Bar Code Print Quality" (ANSI X3.182) and provides an ANSI scan reflectance profile printout.

It also incorporates the latest Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) and Uniform Code Council, (UCC) requirements where applicable.

Inspector 4000 Series verifiers are precision instruments that tell how well a given bar code was printed, predict how well a given bar code will be read by any scanner, and detect bar code deficiencies so that corrective action may be taken.

If the cost of printing a bad bar code is non-existent or minimal, a verification system is unnecessary.

But if printing a bad bar code results in fines, loss of business, costly redundant work, or other high-cost repercussions, then a verification system is warranted.
