Advance-Galatrek has unveiled its new PowerElite MultiTec UPS, ideal for integration into medium-sized professional data and voice processing networks
Advance-Galatrek has unveiled its brand new range of PowerElite MultiTec Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) The units are designed to deliver sinewave power protection up to 10kVA, and are ideal for integration into medium-sized professional data and voice processing networks
With capacity options ranging between 6kVA and 10kVA, the PowerElite MultiTec ETM series of Uninterruptible Power Systems uses dynamic input and output filters to guarantee protection of the load from upstream electrical pollution.
In fact, PowerElite's filters even continue to protect the load when the unit is in static bypass mode.
Either single phase or three phase input can be selected at the time of installation.
PowerElite offers wide-ranging protection against surges, sags and brownouts in the mains power supply.
Each unit in the range can generate a stable sinewave output over a very wide input voltage range, without needing to resort to battery power.
In fact, PowerElite can still deliver high quality mains power down to as low as 140Vac.
This level of control also translates to a superior ride through capability, enabling PowerElite units to cope with mains power failures of up to 40ms, without switching to battery power.
The latest MultiTec technology gives PowerElite UPSs the ability to adapt operation modes to match the sensitivity of their loads and the characteristics of the mains power supply.
Users can instruct the UPS to operate in either on-line or economy modes, or even enable the UPS to use its own SmartActive mode to select the most appropriate operating criteria from a set range of parameters.
PowerElite's on-line mode uses the inverter to power the load, delivering a continuous, stable, break-free, sinewave supply.
In economy mode, the MultiTec circuitry mimics the characteristics of a line interactive UPS, with the load being powered through dynamic filters.
This allows the inverter to remain active, but not powering the load, until a sudden fluctuation or failure occurs in the mains.
The result is overall efficiencies exceeding 98%, with a consequent reduction in overall wear and tear on the UPS assemblies - ideal for installations where the mains is relatively stable, or the load less critical.
As well as being virtually silent in operation, PowerElite UPSs incorporate front-end Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuitry, to achieve a true sinewave output.
Full microprocessor control provides each unit with the utmost in reliability and stability.
It also makes the UPS one of the most communicative in the marketplace, with an easy to use front panel keypad and LCD display.
For remote communications, there is an RS232 port, allowing easy integration into existing communications networks, using the PowerShield management software supplied with the UPS.
All PowerElite models are designed for easy and safe maintenance access.
Each model incorporates built-in automatic static and manual maintenance bypasses, with automatic or manual battery testing facilities.
External maintenance bypasses and dual-redundant switches are available to match each model.
All versions feature an integral battery, with the option of using additional battery packs or standby generators for extended run times.
