An extended runtime pack has been developed for a new 2kVA UPS which increases the standard runtime period from approximately ten minutes without mains power up to several hours for a typical load

Advance-Galatrek has developed an extended runtime pack for its latest 2kVA LineUPS Uninterruptible Power System (UPS).

The optional extended runtime unit increases the standard runtime period from approximately ten minutes without mains power up to several hours for a typical load.

The company anticipates that the new LineUPS extended runtime units will be popular in environments where mission-critical equipment needs to be kept running without interruption while the mains supply is unavailable.

In such situations, conventional UPSs have previously offered only relatively short runtime performance, merely bridging the period between mains failure and the start up of alternative power sources.

Often, this interrupts operational continuity, by requiring the load to be powered down until the mains supply is restored.
