Front end power protection even for extremes
Computing, communications, internet service providers and other 24/7 operations can now access flexible, enterprise-wide, power protection with the Elite PowerCentre UPS from Advance-Galatrek.
MultiSwitch is ideal for complex computer and voice over IP (VoIP) networks requiring maximum uptime and provides the added advantage of allowing users to monitor and control their connected devices.
The power sources to a MultiSwitch can be a combination of two independent mains supplies, uninterruptible power supplies or a combination of the two.
Each source has to be rated to support the full load placed on the eight output sockets.
MultiSwitch can be installed with a single power source to allow the dual feed option to be activated at a later date in the growth of the network.
If one of the power sources fails or falls outside specification, MultiSwitch powers the loads automatically from the second power source - instantaneously.
As each of the eight output sockets is independent of the others, a short circuit or load fault is automatically isolated to prevent disruption to other loads or crashing of the MultiSwitch device itself.
Users can set each of the output sockets to draw power from either of the sources or to switch off if one of them fails.
MultiSwitch has a front panel advanced LCD technology to provide information on load power status, alarms and key measurements.
It also provides remote monitoring in the form of RS232 or Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) communications.
MultiSwitch is designed for 19in rack mounting and is 2U high with a depth of 360mm.
The MultiSwitch comes with a 2 year warranty and a software configuration pack.
The recommended retail price in the UK is GBP 685.00 plus delivery and VAT.
According Robin Koffler, General Manager for Riello Galatrek: "Riello UPS recently secured the installation of two hundred MultiSwitch devices into the voice and data network at Frankfurt airport".
"This was a prestigious site win for MultiSwitch against some really serious competition".
"We won the order as our technology, design and reliability were proven to be ahead of the competition".
