Lubricants display "food-safe" status

A Rocol Lubricants product story

The ability to see at a glance whether NSF-registered food-grade products are being used makes it easier to keep the manufacturing environment safe.

Rocol has changed the packaging of its food-grade lubricant aerosol cans, making the products easier to identify and apply.

Every Rocol lubricant in aerosol form which has been independently certified as safe for incidental contact with food now features a blue actuator rather than the standard white.

The new actuators have also been redesigned to offer more accurate application.

For applications where targeted lubrication is required, Rocol offers an actuator with precision directional spray accuracy.

This prevents wastage and the risk of applying lubricant to areas where it is not necessary.

A different actuator is fitted for products designed to provide a lubricant film over a given area.

This ensures a consistent fine mist is produced when spraying, which helps prevent applying too much of the lubricant and reducing its effectiveness.

The ability to see at a glance whether NSF-registered food-grade products are being used makes it easier to keep the manufacturing environment safe.

Internal and external inspectors will be able to monitor the use of aerosol spray food-grade lubricants with ease.

NSF registered products have been independently assessed by the world's authority on hygiene and safety for products used in food manufacturing.

The Foodlube range offers a wide range of lubricants for use in food and drink processing , Recent additions to the range include Rapid Demulse 220, a food-grade demulsification oil which is suited to applications such as water-cooled homogenisers and Foodlube Ultra, a multipurpose grease designed to provide nontoxic lubrication of slides, cams, gears and plain bearings.
