Rocol has extended its Sapphire product range with the addition of an advanced multipurpose grease that its says delivers three times the lifespan of conventional greases.
The Rocol Sapphire range comprises 11 application-specific greases that all extend equipment life and service intervals.
Sapphire Advance 2 features good load carrying, long-term wear protection, oxidation, stability, and water and corrosion protection.
The company said the product is ideal for fast-moving applications, such as fans and electric motors, and is particular suited to arduous, high-speed conditions.
It is also useful for applications where acceleration/deceleration is experienced - such as short duty cycles - vibration and shock loads.
Sapphire Advance 2 has been designed for the effective lubrication and protection of ball, roller and plain bearings.
It can be applied manually or with an applicator and is compatible with other soap-thickened greases although, for optimum performance, Rocol recommends the removal of the previous lubricant before use.
