Stainless-steel grippers are clean enough for food
Claimed to be the first of its kind in gripper technology, the Schunk model LMG-64 stainless-steel gripper answers the challenge for automation technology in the food processing industry.
Rotary distributors are compact in design
Schunk's DDF-SE range of pneumatic rotary distributors provide up to four compressed air and six electrical feedthroughs for stationary applications in machines and automation systems.
ATI's end-effector products are found in thousands of successful applications around the world.
With products designed to meet and exceed the demanding requirements of the automotive industry, ATI has also developed the strongest (1100kg payload) commercially available tool changer on the market, this time for an aerospace application.
The addition of ATI's product range will further complement the existing range of robot peripherals handled by Romheld Australia.
According to Vince West, Romheld's Business Development Manager "The introduction of ATI products is the most recent phase of our strategy to offer the local robotics industry a 'one-stop-shop' for robot grippers and end of arm tooling".
"In particular, ATI's robotic deburring tools help to overcome problems in automating the metal finishing process.
Traditionally this process is highly labour intensive and environmentally very hostile, therefore it is viewed as an ideal robot application", he said.
Romheld already supports the local robot sector with an impressive range of grippers and accessories from Schunk, plus a modular gripper system from Tunkers Maschinenbau which is widely used in automotive body welding lines.
In announcing the Romheld appointment, ATI's President Keith Morris said: "We are pleased to welcome Romheld as our distributor for Australia and New Zealand.
They offer a wealth of tooling experience and support capability for our products".
Romheld Australia sells to robot integrators, machine builders and line builders, working closely with their design staff at early stages of the project.
End users are supported with spare parts, maintenance and technical advice.
