The RB blind assembly coupling is specifically designed to transmit torque between diesel engines and alternators far more effectively than existing devices.

The RB blind assembly coupling is specifically designed to transmit torque between diesel engines and alternators far more effectively than existing devices.

The RB is a cost-effective blind assembly flywheel-mounted coupling for torques up to 314Nm.

The unique blind assembly design isolates the generator from the engine, leaving the torsional characteristics of the engine unaffected.

It provides quick and easy assembly - particularly in bell housings, can be adapted to suit most engine flywheels and has a short axial length.

As well as being intrinsically fail-safe, another benefit of the RB blind assembly coupling is its ability to control resonant torsional vibration, resulting in low vibratory loads in driveline components.

The RB is also quiet running and ideal for sensitive applications by the elimination of metal-to-metal contact.

Designed to fit and forget, with no lubrication or adjustment requirements, the RB blind assembly coupling requires very little maintenance and lifetime costs are extremely low.

The RB blind assembly coupling is robustly constructed from spheroidal graphite to BS2789 Grade 420/12 for optimum durability and flexibility.

It incorporates precompressed, totally enclosed rubber elements to minimise backlash and also prevent metal-to-metal contact during torque reversal conditions.

Suitable for a wide range of applications including generator sets, pumps and compressors, the RB blind assembly coupling is available now from Renold agents worldwide.
