Rotalink's 229 gearbox is designed to offer improved output torque and side load capability for industry-standard spur-ovoid gearbox applications.

Rotalink's 229 gearbox is designed to offer improved output torque and side load capability for industry-standard spur-ovoid gearbox applications By increasing the effective diameter of output gears, bearing and shaft assembly, Rotalink offers a rating of 200Ncm at low output speeds with standard sintered bronze (front) and acetal (rear) bearings; additionally the 229 is available with ball race bearings and special shafts

With a wide choice of ratio's up to 30,000:1, the 229 series has the same mounting to output shaft dimensions as the standard ovoid design and will be a form-fit replacement in many applications where higher torque and increased side load demands need to be met with cost effective gearbox solutions.

This design would also offer an extended life capability when compared to standard ovoid gearboxes.

Drive motors for the 229 series from Rotalink include AC synchronous, brushed DC, and permanent magnet steppers with a wide range of options including dual and single channel encoders, leadwire and connector assemblies.

The 229 can also be supplied with special features such as through-shafts and leadscrews to form very cost effective linear actuators.

Customised options are available using Rotalink's UK based design and manufacturing facility that prides itself in providing a flexible and efficient supply of motion solutions to match the exact needs of its customers.

Existing applications for the 229 series include analytical instruments, air and liquid valve control, dispensing equipment, peristaltic pumps, vending machines and chemical dosing/metering and other applications where low cost and maximum performance are required.
