RSView32 Messenger can alert plant engineers and maintenance personnel, who may be located out of the immediate area, to system alarms so users can take appropriate action immediately.

Rockwell Automation announces the release of RSView32 Messenger, for Rockwell Software's RSView32 HMI package.

RSView32 is a high quality software product, providing rich graphics and used to monitor and control automated machines and processes.

RSView32 Messenger integrates directly into the alarming and tag database of an existing RSView32 project, as part of its robust Add- On-Architecture (AOA).

AOA technology allows add-on applications to integrate with the RSView32 environment, giving the same user interaction features as internal RSView32 components.

RSView32 Messenger can alert plant engineers and maintenance personnel, who may be located out of the immediate area, to system alarms so users can take appropriate action immediately.

The messenger functionality allows RSView32 to announce alarms locally using a computer sound card, or via telephone using a voice card, pager, fax or e-mail.

A flexible schedule of alarm destinations can send alarm notifications offsite to personnel who are on call.

RSView32 Messenger can also route notifications that have not been acknowledged within a specified time, to other locations.

In addition, RSView32 Messenger can be configured to contact specific users based on work schedules, while taking into account scheduled shutdowns and holidays.

Aside from alarm notifications, RSView32 Messenger can provide status information, such as an "end of batch" message that can be used for unattended operation or supervision of multiple processes.
