Rotary positioning stage gives precise positioning
The Anorad RDR-160 direct-drive rotary positioning stage has a compact design consisting of a brushless DC servomotor, a high-resolution optical encoder and a high accuracy angular contact bearing
"With the introduction of the 12.1" RAC6185, OEMs and end-users have an even wider choice of monitors to fit their application needs," said Paul Herron, product manager, Rockwell Automation.
" In addition, the RAC6185 range offers a large number of options, such as a resistive touchscreen and different mounting arrangements to meet application requirements or operator preferences." Incorporating active matrix thin film transistor (TFT) technology, the new 12.1" RAC6185 monitor, provides end-users with the clarity and viewing angle of larger CRT displays at a fraction of the depth.
The new monitor has an 800 x 600 resolution, and delivers exceptionally bright, readable screens.

Linear motors are free from cogging
Linear motors feature ironless construction, which ensures complete freedom from cogging and magnetic attraction.
Direct-drive stages promise smoother motion
Direct-drive rotary stages provide precise positional and velocity control in light to medium force applications.
Designed for situations where shallow panel depth, smaller size and lighter weights are critical, the monitor weighs only 3.7 kg.
Its depth of only 830 mm, makes it particularly suitable for installation where panel depth is limited.
The new monitor can be used as a direct replacement for 14" CRT monitors currently in use.
The RAC6185 series also offers increased reliability due to the extensive use of solid state devices.
Units generate less heat and product life is extended.
In addition, forced-air cooling is replaced by natural convection, to reduce problems associated with operation in dusty environments.
Downtime for essential maintenance is minimised with, easy-to-replace, snap-in, cold-cathode tubes for the backlit display and a hinged chassis for quick access.
The unit interfaces to a standard PC graphics adapter card and comes with a choice of 1.75 m or 4.5 m interface cable.
The touchscreen option uses standard 'D' type connectors with a 3.75 m serial cable.
As with all Allen-Bradley industrial computers the monitor was developed to withstand harsh factory floor conditions and is built to resist shock, vibration and dirty conditions.
Designed to operate between 0 and 50§ C, the RAC6185 units offer an IP65 rating when mounted, making them ideal for use in hot or dusty environments.
The introduction of the Allen-Bradley RAC6185 12.1" flat panel colour monitor now provides five size options to display colourful, high resolution, text and images for PC based systems in demanding factory environments. Request a free brochure from Rockwell Automation Anorad ...
