Passport to safety
In today's marketplace, you have to think globally: that is where functional safety can help.
Low-cost gantries provide rapid motion
Rockwell Automation's Hercules low-cost gantries provide the rapid point-to-point motion common in the electronics/general assembly industries.
RSTrainer 2000 lessons are presented in a rich multimedia format with audio explanations and animated graphics.
These can be reviewed by downloading a demonstration from the Rockwell Software web site at http://www.software.rockwell.com/training.
The audio "instructor" reviews software features and applications, giving 'how-to' tips for advanced productivity.

Safety services boost productivity
Through effective hazard assessment, Rockwell Automation safety consultants can evaluate a manufacturer's equipment, identify guarding deficiencies and recommend machine guarding solutions.
Lessons are also supplemented with interactive practice exercises, to give users a chance to test and apply their knowledge.
At the end of the course, exams are available to monitor progress and check for areas that need further review.
Multimedia lessons are linked to the software help files for the corresponding product.
As with many Rockwell Software products, RSTrainer 2000 requires one activation per simultaneous user, and can be loaded on a personal computer or network server.
RSTrainer 2000 Plus extends the 90-day warranty to a full year and this includes a subscription service with updates.
"The lessons, screens and features of our new RSTrainer 2000 CBT series will accurately represent the full version of the software.
In other words, any revision in the software program will be incorporated in our self-study, CBT (Computer Based Training) product," said Andy Fertal, manager of customer training at Rockwell Software.
"In addition, the CD-ROM-based training programs can be purchased with our new Online Learning service.
Combining the online service with the CBT adds full instructor support, along with many of the other benefits of traditional classroom training for the duration of the online course." RSTrainer 2000 for RSLogix 500, is the first of the series to be released.
This course begins with instructions for installing RSLogix 500 software, as well as a tour of the RSLogix 500 user interface.
Additional modules teach students how to create a new project, edit ladder logic, use database tools, print reports, back up and restore projects.
Students also learn to configure RSLinx, upload and download ladder logic, and perform diagnostics live.
The final module tests students with application questions and guides them to areas where additional study is needed.
Other products scheduled for release shortly include RSTrainer 2000 for RSLogix 5 and RSTrainer 2000 for RSLinx. Request a free brochure from Rockwell Automation ...
