The programme is designed to 'best fit' customers' needs with the technology skills, product knowledge and industry experience of the Solution Provider.
There are two layers of activity, Applications and Technology and these are further segmented into areas of specialisation including process systems, drive systems, enterprise software, motion systems, SCADA and the traditional Allen-Bradley core technologies such as PLC's.
Application Solution Providers have product expertise in areas such as process control, MES and PEMS.
They are experienced with system architectures and can work at any level within an organisation, from the top floor to the shop floor.
Used to solving the toughest problems and with the ability to analyse advanced application and process requirements, they are able to design and implement the optimum overall solution.
Focussed in these vertical markets, they bring new ideas and strategies attained through working with the industry leaders.
Technology Solution Providers are experts in the application of the latest technologies.
They specialise in automation hardware and software and the implementation of systems requiring close co-ordination with a variety of different technologies.
As well as capabilities in deploying motion and drive control, they can handle discrete and batch process control.
They have a broad knowledge of local market applications supported with training and experience in PLC and Logix technologies, communication networks and operator interface software.
There are currently thirty-four Solution Providers in the UK and each has been carefully matched against stringent selection criteria.
Each has to display proven expertise across a range of industrial automation technologies and have verifiable application expertise.
A continuous training programme ensures that engineers are up to date with latest technologies and application techniques.
