View execution of PLC ladder logic in
real time

The new RSLadder ActiveX Control visualises ladder logic directly from any Allen-Bradley PLC-5 or SLC 500 processor or from any RSLogix Emulate 5 or 500 on-line simulation

Rockwell Automation has added the ability to view the execution of PLC ladder logic in real time to its market leading RSView32 SCADA/HMI package The new RSLadder ActiveX Control visualises ladder logic directly from any Allen-Bradley PLC-5 or SLC 500 processor or from any RSLogix Emulate 5 or 500 on-line simulation, without the user needing to have access to ladder logic programming software or to write a single line of code

RSLadder allows users to trouble shoot their systems by monitoring and searching ladder logic files from within their HMI application and viewing different segments of multiple programs simultaneously.

Users can also attach other Rockwell Automation ActiveX controls to a ladder instruction in order to create custom monitoring or troubleshooting applications.

RSLadder is the latest addition to RSView, which was the first full function PC-based SCADA/HMI package to incorporate ActiveX container functionality, as well as the first to use Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM) and to embed the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) scripting language.

As with the recently added RSView32 Messenger, SPC, Trend X and RecipePro functionality, future purchasers of RSView32 will receive RSLadder at no additional cost.

Existing RSView32 users can download the ActiveX Control free of charge from Rockwell Automation's web site at www.software.rockwell.com RSLadder can be used to view ladder logic, both offline and online, in a variety of ActiveX containers including Microsoft's Visual Basic and Internet Explorer as well as RSView32.

Extensive search capabilities facilitate the rapid location of instructions, addresses and symbols in program files, while a range of display options includes ladder graphical, ASCII, wiring and diagnostic modes.

Users can change ladder files or jump to specific rungs, thereby creating custom troubleshooting screens in response to specific events or alarm conditions.

RSLadder shares a common look and feel and is compatible with, ladder files created by Rockwell Automation's popular RSLogix family of PLC programming packages.

It also supports files created by AI Series and APS programming packages. Request a free brochure from Rockwell Automation ...
