milestone

Encouraged by Rockwell Automation's involvement in the full range of industrial automation Cosworth Technology's Test Support engineers decided to visit the Solutions Centre.

According to Senior Supervisor Dave Bramley, it was a major advantage to see the equipment in a working environment.
"I expect to see smaller versions of this at exhibitions, but this permanent display is excellent.
It shows very clearly how the products integrate together and how control functions can share between equipment through a central processor", he said.
The Solutions Centre is divided into industry solution areas.
'Complete automation' features strongly throughout and includes the typical applications found in the materials handling, water, food and beverage, paper and packaging industries.
The Architecture Wall gives an overview of integrated architecture from shop floor devices to supervisory systems.
Three layers of communications are shown, all linked to a computer system via linking devices and gateways.
An extensive display of devices connects to open networks including DeviceNet, Foundation Fieldbus, ControlNet and Ethernet.
The seamless communication capability shows how plant data can be collected and devices configured from anywhere without the need to write code.
Diagnostic information can be read from intelligent devices such as drives or electronic overloads, to optimise plant performance. Request free introductory details about products from Rockwell Automation Anorad ...
