New technology provides reliability and
safety

New versions of the general purpose and heavy duty Allen-Bradley 800Z Zero Force touch button increase operator safety and reliability while expanding the range of applications.

New versions of the general purpose and heavy duty Allen-Bradley 800Z Zero Force touch button increase operator safety and reliability while expanding the range of applications Based on the highly successful original design, the new version features superior field-effect sensing technology that weaves two capacitive sensors in offset planes to provide significantly greater sensitivity

This not only increases control reliability but also allows users to operate the buttons wearing industrial gloves.

Response times have been reduced to less than 50ms and upgraded intelligence increases the ability of the unit to differentiate between the operator's hand and foreign objects such as tools, cleaning rags or engineering fluids.

Larger, more robust guards provide a high degree of protection against accidental damage.

Improved noise immunity is achieved by using a combination of pattern-recognition and noise-sensing algorithms to distinguish between a true input stimulus and disruptive noise.

This feature helps ensure the product will not unintentionally operate.

Zero Force touch buttons are ideal for the control of machinery used for repetitive operations.

Because no pressure is required to activate the device, stress on hands, wrists and arms is eliminated and the risk of repetitive strain injury (RSI) is significantly reduced.

Available as general purpose and heavy industrial styles, they are rated to IP66 and meet the demands of most industrial applications.

The general purpose touch buttons are available in 22.5 and 30.5mm versions and can be supplied as quick disconnect (with five-pin mini connector) or cabled (1.8, 3.6 or 7.2m cables) wiring options.

Meeting the requirements of EN60204-1 covering machine safety, Zero Force touch buttons are compact, reliable and aesthetically pleasing.

Their innovative design meets global CE and UL requirements, providing enhanced safety, health and comfort for machine operators. Request a free brochure from Rockwell Automation ...
