RSBizware Training is a series of courses designed to ensure manufacturers obtain the maximum benefit from the powerful suite of Rockwell Software RSBizware plant management tools.
The trend towards shop floor to top floor factory management systems, multi-skilled workforces and the increasing use of sophisticated automation systems is leading to increasing technology skills gaps among UK industry, according to Rick Johnson, Rockwell Automation UK Training Capability Manager.
To fill this skills gap, Rockwell Automation introduces RSBizware Training, a series of courses designed to ensure manufacturers obtain the maximum benefit from the powerful suite of Rockwell Software RSBizware plant management tools.
The RSBizware software range includes: RSSQL, a data extraction tool which can capture data from a variety of production systems and guarantees delivery into a database such as Microsoft SQL where data analysis tools can be applied; PlantMetrics, a Windows-based solution for evaluating the performance of critical production assets; RS Scheduler, which allows production staff to optimise scheduling of plant and resources, to meet flexible timescales and order deadlines; Arena, which allows simulation and modelling as part of the RSBizware program.
Used individually or together as an integrated plant management system, RSBizware modules enable manufacturers to measure and improve the performance of their production assets.
Until recently, however, employers have often had difficulty in sourcing tailored training courses in the business systems area.
"The usual approach has been to have the external developer provide unstructured application overview training, followed by self-taught development of appropriate reports and operational analyses by the employees", says Johnson.
"The process typically ends there, but effective RSBizware training from Rockwell Automation enables employers to gain maximum benefit from their investment".
For employers with high level business systems, who want to truly optimise OEE, RSBizware training is a tailored approach, a cost effective way to acquire the required skills to meet this challenge.
Training can be delivered at Rockwell Automation's fully equipped training centre at Sutton Coldfield or at the customer's own site.
It is available from the developer/configuration level to the report generator/operator level, and can be tailored to individual needs.
The option to measure the acquisition of skills gained through the training, is available, using the delegate log and end of course assessment tools.
