Rockwell Automation Ireland has reaffirmed its commitment to Irish manufacturing by opening a new sales office in Dublin.

Rockwell Automation Ireland has reaffirmed its commitment to Irish manufacturing by opening a new sales office in Dublin, strengthening its team of technical support staff and enhancing distribution of its products Based at the Swords Business Campus on the main M1 motorway to the north of Dublin, the impressive new office boasts a conference room and extensive product demonstration facilities that allow customers to get "hands-on" experience of the latest hardware and software technology

Rockwell Automation - already named Supplier of the Year by leading Irish panel builder Anord Control Systems - has increased staffing levels to 12 to further improve the level of service provided to new and existing customers in its key markets, which include food and beverages, electronics and consumer products.

The additional personnel will mean improved pre- and post-sales technical support for customers in Ireland, with additional back up provided by Rockwell Automation's European Customer Support facilities.

The company is also now able to offer a range of additional value-added services, including asset management, training and engineering consultancy, geared towards lowering manufacturers' total costs of ownership.

A new, dedicated life sciences specialist has been appointed to work closely with manufacturers and OEMs to develop systems and solutions tailored to the specific needs of this important sector.

As well as offering the full range of automation hardware and software for continuous and batch process production, Rockwell Automation's acquisition of ProPack data means it can also integrate the leading manufacturing execution and information systems into a complete solution for life sciences companies.

Revised distributor agreements will improve availability and technical support of Rockwell Automation's range of market leading Allen-Bradley automation components.

Designed using Rockwell Automation's Integrated Architecture, the complete range of hardware and software is quick and easy to build into tightly integrated systems, reducing development time and cost for OEMs and cutting operation and maintenance costs for manufacturers.

Hanley Automation Networks of Slane, Co Meath has been appointed as main distributor for the full line of Integrated Architecture products including PLCs, drives, HMIs, networks and safety devices.

In a joint venture arrangement with Hanley, Rockwell Automation will provide a full range of high quality training on design, installation and maintenance of control and automation systems using Hanley's facilities in Slane.

MCC Controls of Dublin has been made distributor of Rockwell Automation's complete Essentials range of the most popular industrial control products including drives, PLCs and safety devices, and ATC Automation is now handling the full Rockwell Automation Safety Range.

In addition, Rockwell Automation has increased the number of industrial component distributors to 20 to ensure immediate, over the counter availability of the most frequently used components across Ireland.
