The model ABS-10 Series is a new line of air bearing linear positioning stages from Anorad.
The ABS-10 is a completely noncontact, precision grade stage designed for high performance precision position applications and is aggressively priced to compete with precision mechanical stages.
The ABS-10 stage is designed to be extremely low profile and compact, minimising stack height and footprint in x-y configurations.
To achieve high precision performance, the ABS-10 incorporates integral air bearing technology with Anorad's patented LE linear servo motor.
THE ABS-10 base is a high-strength steel structure and the slide is black anodised aluminium.
The slide is magnetically pre-loaded to the base providing extremely stiff, frictionless positioning performance, which does not degrade over time and does not generate particulates.
High accuracy position feedback is provided by an optical encoder with resolutions to 0.02um after 200x interpolation and provides position repeatability performance to better than +0.25m.
