Precision linear motor specialist Anorad has expanded its operation by opening a manufacturing plant in China.

Precision linear motor specialist Anorad has expanded its operation by opening a manufacturing plant in China.

The expansion is a way of giving existing and potential customers in the east a local manufacturer as well as providing large European OEMs with a source of affordable products in large quantities.

The plant in China produces high volumes at low cost without comprising design values.

The factory will focus on manufacturing Anorad's new LC series linear motors as well as high volume stages and gantries.

"This new facility in China provides us with ability to meet the demands of customers looking for product to be shipped in the hundreds every year".

"However, we still retain our core selling point - the capacity to custom build to specification in Europe", explained Andrew Holmes, Sales Manager at Anorad UK.

"Our customer base is already global", continued Holmes.

"The worldwide component market is extremely competitive, so our expansion into the east means that Anorad can respond to the needs of international customers and major OEMs more efficiently than ever".

"We are also delighted at the fact that opening the plant created jobs for the locals".

The plant has a capacity of 5600m2, with Anorad using half of the manufacturing space.

The China facility doubles the company's manufacturing capability outside the USA.
