Compact gantries speed from point to point

A Rockwell Automation product story

High precision gantries feature an exceptionally efficient layout, claiming the best utilisation ratio of any currently available linear motion gantry.

Designed to combine economy with performance, Anorad's latest high precision gantries feature an exceptionally efficient layout which provides the best utilisation ratio - the ratio of system travel to overall footprint - of any currently available linear motion gantry.

The gantries are available with x and y travel from 250 to 750mm, and positional repeatability to 2um.

As standard, they are fitted with Anorad's new high-performance LC50 linear motors which are optimised for rapid point-to-point motion of the type often required in electronics assembly and similar applications.

Complemented by recirculating ball bearing linear guides and a rigid webbed low-mass cross beam, the high-force LC50 motors allow accelerations up to 4g and velocities as high as 3m/s to be achieved without compromising the life or reliability of the system.

For applications requiring the highest performance, a dual-motor y-axis option is available.

The precision bearings used in Anorad gantries provide superior flatness and linearity of motion, combined with capacity to support heavy loads and additional axes.

Other key design features include rigid aluminium base plates and risers, optical encoders with a variety of resolutions, and strain-relieved cables in modular carriers which simplify maintenance.
