Multi-Axis Stages simplify machine design

A Rockwell Automation product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 26, 2008

Rockwell Automation MP-Series Integrated Multi-Axis Stages allows users to simplify machine design with an out-of-the box solution for precise two-dimensional positioning and velocity control.

The MP-Series Integrated Multi-Axis Stages offers CAD drawings and 3-D models, making it easy to incorporate the stages into a mechanical design.

It also has fast and easy commissioning via integration into RSLogix 5000 software.

There is the availability of direct-drive linear motor actuation for rapid positioning, high speeds and greater reliability.

Ballscrew actuation is available for applications that require higher force or absolute linear encoders.

Stages can carry a payload of up to 25kg while achieving an acceleration of 1g at maximum payload.

The user can also use existing add-on-instructions for pick and place and dispensing applications.

Pre-alignment of axis provides 30 arc seconds of orthogonality.
