Resistance to corrosion and weld splatter has made the Speedy Rail linear motion system the preferred choice for many car manufacturers.

Resistance to corrosion and weld splatter has made the Speedy Rail linear motion system the preferred choice for many car manufacturers Fiat, BMW, Citroen, Jaguar, Mercedes, Renault, Saab Seat, Volkswagen, Volvo, Ford and GM all employ this maintenance-free system as the basis of lift and carry transfer lines for car body panel welding

Its success in these tough environments underlines the high reliability and performance of this product that is now available in the UK from sole agent.

And beyond this niche market Speedy Rail is also widely specified for a broad range of other manufacturing applications across mainland Europe.

Speedy Rail linear motion systems are strong yet lightweight, self-supporting, modular and available off-the-shelf.

Assembly is extremely simple enabling major savings to be made on set-up time.

Rail sections up to 7.5m are joined end-to-end using standard bolted dovetail clamps to form a transfer system of unlimited length.

As standard, rails are provided with a dovetail groove on either side to accommodate any fixture attachments without the need for drilling or welding.

The Speedy Rail beam is a heat-treated aluminium alloy profile with hollow cross-sections which gives it high strength under torsion and deflections stresses.

Rail profiles are manufactured by a special extrusion process, then surface hardened and given a patented finishing treatment.

This provides a smooth, hard surface comparable to tempered steel.

Steel rails may also be specified for heavy loads and washdown environments.

Beams are available in six sizes from super wide body at 250mm high and 80mm wide to mini at 60 x 20mm.

The narrow profile of the design minimises space requirements.

The product programme includes a large selection of rollers and roller assemblies, all guaranteed to provide quiet and smooth operation.

Rollers are encapsulated in a sintered plastic compound shell that is resistant to pollutants and virtually maintenance free.

High performance bearings - ball and/or needle - are mounted in the rollers and are maintained with regular greasing or with Fomblin lifetime lubrication.

Four roller assemblies are available.

The "standard" has four rollers, two concentric and two eccentric for pairing and adjustment.

Four rollers are also provided in the Blindo Beam that has three mounting surfaces.

Suitable for low clearances and limited operating room, the "compact" has two rollers and with 4/6 rollers, and the "floating" is designed to accommodate minor misalignments on the rail.
