Precision balls come in hundreds of materials

A RA Rodriguez product story

Industrial Tectonics designs and manufactures only dedicated precision balls and related spherical products from a wide choice of engineering materials, alloys and elements.

Unlike other commercial ball suppliers, Industrial Tectonics designs and manufactures only dedicated precision balls and related spherical products from a wide choice of engineering materials, alloys and elements.

Now a Kaydon company, Industrial Tectonics has just placed its UK sales interests in the capable hands of precision component supplier RA Rodriguez.

As a result of this arrangement, RA Rodriguez is now able to supply balls made from any workable material to meet specific requirements for weight, magnetic properties, self-lubrication and abrasion resistance.

The specification can also include service at elevated or cryogenic temperatures or under noisy or radioactive conditions.

The list of special materials and their alloys from which balls can be made, literally runs into hundreds.

The choice also includes plastics, ceramics, glass and piezoelectric quartz.

The quality control programme for Industrial Tectonics' ball manufacture meets the stringent requirements of the aerospace, defence, medical and automotive industries.

And as many products are used in the food and drug industries, their manufacture is compliant with Food and Drug Administration's 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part II that requires electronically logged production records and audit trail.

Industrial Tectonics also maintains stock of the largest selection of standard ball materials in the industry.

This allows RA Rodriguez to offer its customers short lead times on delivery.

Orders are also welcomed for any application that requires design modifications, unusual ball sizes, materials or tolerances.
