Gears drop in to replace old Radicon boxes

A Renold Gears product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 27, 2005

Renold Gears' WM gearboxes are now directly interchangeable with David Brown's Radicon units as a "drop in" replacement.

Renold Gears has extended its range of WM series gearboxes to be directly interchangeable with David Brown's metric Radicon series.

The critical mounting and shaft extension dimensions in the new WM boxes are now identical to those in the Radicon units so that any old Radicon box can be replaced with a new Renold WM unit as a simple "drop in" replacement.

The entire WM range is now available in nominal metric and traditional inch sizes, with new centre distances of 100, 125, 160 and 200mm.

A complete range of ratios is available from 5:1 to 70:1 enabling customers to choose a lower cost, or more appropriate solution, than was previously possible.
