Gearbox helps produce tough tyres

Renold PM series geared motors and smaller jPM wormgear units have been fitted at one of the most critical points in the Mitas manufacturing process, the calendar machines.

When a Czech tyre manufacturer was looking for a reliable gearbox solution to drive its calendar machines, they turned to Renold Gears.

Mitas produces specialist tyres for forklift trucks, agricultural and construction machinery, off road vehicles, bikes and aircrafts.

Renold PM series geared motors and smaller jPM wormgear units have been fitted at one of the most critical points in the Mitas manufacturing process, the calendar machines.

They been delivering faultless reliability 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The PM series an industry gearbox design, is a single-piece case which allows worm gears, helical-worm gear combinations and complete helical-bevel gears to be assembled into the same case, giving the customer the advantage of flexibility of ratios and mounting variations.
