Wiper systems keep work supports clean

Roemheld's latest innovative wiper systems for swing clamps and work supports are designed to significantly increase the life of hydraulic clamping elements.

Roemheld's latest innovative wiper systems for swing clamps and work supports are designed to significantly increase the life of hydraulic clamping elements Modern production processes now mean that hydraulic swing clamps have to cope with high machining speeds and chemically corrosive coolants with pressures up to 70bar, not to mention hot swarf, which accumulates during dry machining and can burn in, damaging the material

Roemheld's newly designed metallic wiper for HSC processes and dry machining, in combination with the already available standard Viton wiper, offers almost complete protection against external influences.

The new metallic wiper consists of a hardened, sharp-edged wiper disk with radial compensation, which counteracts the eccentric load of the piston rod of the swing clamp.

This guarantees perfect contact of the wiper disk in each piston position.

The metallic wiper deflects the largest part of the coolants and swarf, while the standard Viton wiper mounted below the new metallic wiper, avoids additionally the penetration of liquids.

Roemheld has also developed a brass wiper for work supports.

This offers good mechanical stability as well as resistance to aggressive coolants thanks to the integrated Viton wiper.

Its exterior roof-shaped contours provide an immediate drain off of coolants and avoid the formation of pools.

Work supports that are already in use can be retrofitted with the new wiper system. Request a free brochure from Roemheld UK ...
