Visitors to Mach 2006 (15th to 19th May at Birmingham's NEC) can see how pneumatic system is suitable for clean area and oil free applications in food processing industries.

Visitors to the Roemheld stand at Mach 2006 (15th to 19th May at Birmingham's NEC) will be able to see how the pneumatically-operated, Stark Speedy Airtec System is suitable for clean area and oil free applications in industries such as food processing.

The latest addition to the Stark Zero Point technology range, Airtec System 5000 units, can reduce set-up times and increase productivity.

Although offering quick and repeatable changeovers of fixtures, jigs, vices and chucks, the units are also designed to be safe to operate.

The unit comes as standard with 20kN of retention force working at 6bar air pressure.

The system is locked by a series of wedges against the inserted nipple and only when 6bar of air pressure is coupled up will the system be ready for fixture change, making the complete system user friendly and very safe.

The Airtec system can be easily designed into new or existing set ups due to its modular design.

Four types of units are available each with different features: the ability to air blow off a table surface; integral central sealing system; the ability to keep coolant and swarf away from critical areas; and a positioning datum on the front face of the unit.

Roemheld will be on stand 4405 at Mach 2006.
