Five-axis vices were the stars of the show at MACH and along with the popular Hilma Euroline vice generated orders in excess of GBP 25,000 during the 5 day exhibition.

Roemheld's new range of five-axis vices were the stars of the show at MACH and along with the popular Hilma Euroline vice generated orders in excess of GBP 25,000 during the 5 day exhibition.

Bill Neal, Managing Director of Roemheld UK, said: "This was our best MACH for many years and our five-axis range generated a huge amount of enquiries".

"In fact, one of the visitors to the stand was so keen to start using two of the five-axis vices we had on display that we were packing them up on the Friday to deliver them to his business on the Monday morning".

The daily Roemheld Stark zero point speed challenge also proved a popular draw to the stand, with Chris Ward of Wooley GMC Engineering from Coventry walking off with a Halfords team racing jacket and the overall prize of a day's racing thanks to a superb winning changeover time of 16 seconds.

Ward said: "This challenge really showed just how easy and quickly you can change over the Stark components and it has certainly made us think of using this technology in our own workshop".

Roemheld had launched a number of new products at MACH, including the Stark Airtec zero point system, M-Tecs magnetic clamping and the new Matrix entry-level hydraulic clamping system, which also attracted a lot of attention from all sizes of end users throughout the show.
