Roemheld to show five-axis workholding

A Roemheld product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 17, 2008

Roemheld will showcase its five-axis workholding products at Autosport 2009.

On display will be a range of Hilma five-axis jaws for use in five-axis machining applications.

The range enables single setup on five-axis machines, and includes step jaws for secure machining on a hold of 3mm for maximum savings on raw material.

Together with the Hilma five-axis range of vices, designed to grip on just 3mm, these products are designed to ensure end users maximise the productivity of their five-axis systems.

Also on display will be Stark zero point mounting systems, which provide an optimum interface for machine tools.

They incorporate a repeatable location and clamping system that allows quick changeover of different workholding devices.

These Roemheld technologies mean that direct clamping becomes a possibility, even for the manufacture of cylinder heads and engine blocks.

For production engineers looking to make workholding more flexible across the machine shop, the Roemheld Matrix hydraulic clamping system will be on display.
