Roemheld launches bore clamp range

A Roemheld product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 12, 2009

Roemheld has introduced a bore clamp that enables components with small bore holes to be effectively clamped hydraulically.

The company said the range is ideal for applications that require the axial clamping of components with bore holes in their support surfaces ranging from 9.2mm to 9.8mm in diameter.

Eccentric arrangement of the clamping insert is possible as double-acting clamping systems using cylinders in a modular design can be equipped with three different clamping inserts.

This ensures that fixed positioning, floating and clamping of components are all possible.

For maximum versatility, either gun-drilled holes or pipes can be used to connect the oil supply.

An air seal can also be connected to avoid swarf penetrating the clamping insert.

An optional pneumatic seat check is also available.
