Hilma five-axis vice jaws hold on 3mm

A Roemheld product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Sep 30, 2009

Hilma five-axis vice systems can hold rigidly and safely on 3mm, while performing to tight tolerances and high repeatability.

The design of the Hilma five-axis vice jaws, which incorporate a dovetailed, scalloped effect, produces a down thrust of the component while biting into its surface for improved rigidity.

This enables the vices to safely hold heavy billets, reducing material wastage and saving companies raw material costs.

Hilma vices are strong enough to cope with the most demanding five-axis work and are durable as the lead screw is completely sealed, leaving no room for swarf to get in.
