Ian Adams is the first marketing manager by name to be appointed by market leading industrial valve actuation specialist Rotork Controls Ltd.

Ian, 43, joins Rotork from the UK subsidiary of IDEX, a USA based global manufacturer of pumps and industrial products.

A member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ian is also one of the first members to have achieved 'Chartered Marketer' status, which commits him to a programme of continual professional marketing development.

He describes his appointment as Rotork's first marketing manager as "reflecting a changing attitude to the way the company wants to do business." He says "I hope to bring a stronger focus on satisfying the needs of our customers who now face far greater choice in an increasingly competitive marketplace." With an annual turnover in excess of ?115 million, Rotork PLC group sales include more than 30% of the world market for industrial valve actuation and control equipment in sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, water and waste treatment.
